Duke Award Alumni Network – Growing Together
The DofE Award transforms young people. It challenges, opens new horizons, and shows: You can do more than you think. But what happens after the Award?
For many, the Award isn’t the end—it’s the beginning.
“I thought my Duke journey would end with the Gold Award. But through the Youth Advisory Council and as an IGE delegate, I realized that the real journey is just beginning!” (Antonia Werner, Youth Ambassador 2025 und IGE-Delegierte 2025-27)
Our Alumni network brings together people who share a common experience: They’ve taken on real challenges, taken responsibility for others, pushed boundaries, and learned something about themselves in the process. Whether Bronze, Silver, or Gold — each and every one of you carries this experience within you. And that’s exactly what brings us together.
What is the goal of our alumni network?
Our society faces major challenges — climate change, social inequality, and democracy under pressure. These aren’t abstract problems. They’re challenges we can only solve together: with courage, creativity, and the will to make a difference.
We see our alumni network as a community where you can connect with one another and inspire and support each other. Where connections lead to collaborative efforts on the issues closest to your hearts. Where ideas meet people who are eager to help bring them to life.
What awaits you
You’ll remain part of a movement that empowers young people in over 130 countries and is part of the Big 6 youth organisations worldwide. And you’ll help carry this movement forward with every connection, every conversation, and every collaborative project. Four times a year, we’ll send you our Alumni newsletter, which also includes a link to a curated list of events, scholarships, conferences, and festivals. You can access this link at any time; we update the list regularly. Once a year, we invite you to in-person gatherings. Alumni from every region regularly organize local and regional gatherings: We’re counting on you! We’ll support you by providing our alumni’s contact information.
Work together to advance the causes close to your hearts, bring your voice to social and education policy discussions, and change our world for the better—being engaged brings happiness!
