Handover Call with the 2025 Ambassadors on March 27, 2026

During the second call session, Youth Ambassadors passed on their advice to the incoming 2026 cohort by sharing lessons learned, key insights, and tips for the year ahead. The session created space for honest reflection, peer-to-peer guidance, and a warm handover of knowledge between ambassador generations.

Teodor and Angelina attended an engaging talk on democracy, its values, challenges, and the role of young people. After the discussion, participants broke into small groups to dive deeper into key topics and share ideas. The session also offered valuable networking time, connecting ambassadors with peers from organizations across Germany.

2026 Youth Ambassador Kick-off Weekend on 17-19 April, 2026

The new cohort of Youth Ambassadors 2026 gathered in Berlin for a three-day introductory weekend to get to know one another and kick off their shared journey. The group learned key facts about the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and completed a scavenger hunt through the city. A personal workbook helped each Ambassador reflect on their mission and their own self-description—thereby laying a foundation of trust and team spirit for the year ahead.

Online Bildungskonferenz

Sonja attended a digital conference on education and learned an incredible amount! It focused primarily on how artificial intelligence is transforming the way we learn. She came to understand that, while technology is extremely helpful for flexible learning, it can never replace good teachers and human interaction.

Schwarzkopf-Stiftung in Berlin

At a Schwarzkopf-Stiftung event in Mitte, 21 people (ages 15–50) and YA Louisa met UN Youth Delegates on a Germany tour to gather diverse youth perspectives. The delegates clarified they represent German youth at the UN, not vice versa, sparking discussion on Germany’s UN Security Council seat. An open conversation followed on youth participation, tokenism, and being taken seriously in politics. Key takeaways: frustration turns to action by speaking to authorities, but many don’t know how. Democracy can be promoted through non-political involvement, and access must be simplified to truly include youth.

Schwarzkopf Foundation 55th anniversary in Berlin on June 18, 2026

The Schwarzkopf‑Stiftung’s 55th anniversary was a festive day with EU organisations, music, and decorations. Wessal and Angelina attended and talked to various people, exchanging ideas. The event itself raised awareness for giving young people a stronger voice in politics. The welcoming atmosphere made it a meaningful celebration of five decades of democratic engagement.
