... our volunteer supporters

We sincerely thank the many people who have supported our association on a voluntary basis for over 25 years:

Klaus Vogel (Chairman from 1995 – 2020) founded the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Germany and shaped it for over 25 years.

Raimund Ademes, René Bader, Tony Barnes, Theo Betz, Steffen Blaschek, Paul Bridge, Chris Buckner, Roland Burger, Lukas Fischer, Wolfgang Flad, Hans-Peter Frauen, Wolf Frey, Jürgen Galm, Margaret Horb, Katharina Kleiser, Benedikt Kurz, Sebastian Kurz, Dr. Gabriel Ledezma-Sanchez, Heide Lochmann, Roland Metzger, Barbara E. Oehl, Dominik Salm, Dr. Marco Salm, Rainer Schmid, Dr. Frank Ufer, Linus Vetter, Karsten Vogel, Prince Erich von Waldburg-Zeil, Thomas Zemmel…

… and many other people who have continuously supported our association for many years through tireless voluntary work in the background.

We would like to thank Schule Schloss Salem as a founding member for the many years of wonderful cooperation.

... our school management and Award Leaders

School principals demonstrate courage, foresight and innovative spirit by bringing the Award program to their school. They trust their teachers to commit their free time to education outside the classroom and the personal development of their students.

Without the outstanding commitment of our Award Leaders, the implementation of the Duke Award would not be possible. They are the “Super-Dukes”, the heroes of the daily work on site, who help young people to start a self-determined and fulfilling life with self-confidence and a strong belief in their abilities. We thank them all from the bottom of our hearts.

I've learned a lot about my character now. For example, I used to be more shy and now I'm more open. I can talk to people more, I can start conversations out of the blue.”
