Students from Berlin on Gold Expedition in the Black Forest

At the beginning of July, 8 former pupils from the Schule am Schillerpark and the Ernst Schering School in Berlin travelled independently to the Black Forest to take part in an open gold expedition led by Vanessa Masing. Together with a Gold participant from Cottbus and a pupil from Karlsruhe, they used the first evening at the Naturfreundehaus Badener Höhe after online preparations to refine their planning and get to know each other as teams “in real life”.

The two groups were on the road for 4 days in the northern Black Forest and struggled not only with the metres in altitude, but also with cold, rain and a large number of blisters…
