DofE Award in “Stiftungswelt” (Bundesverband Deutscher Stiftungen)

Faces of Commitment – this is the title story of the current issue of the magazine “Stiftungswelt”. We are delighted that the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award can be part of this story. (p. 23)

Duygu, a Duke participant from the Ernst Schering School in Berlin (Gold Level), and her Award Leader Vanessa Masing were portrayed together.

Duygu started her Award journey 2 years ago with the Bronze level. In the area of service, she has mainly worked to raise awareness of UN Children’s Rights, but has also actively volunteered in the Berlin office. Having co-hosted the 2019 award evening at the British Embassy with Berivan and Yagmur, and also having already discussed the merits of the Duke with school headmasters, Duygu says nothing can upset her easily. She has also become an expert in the field of expeditions: she has been to Grünheide twice, once to the Uckermark and once to the Mecklenburg Lake District.

On the gold level, it’s off to the Black Forest soon!
